I Was A Brilliant Student, Says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu, who is currently attending the G-20 Summit in India, shared his academic journey and encouraged Nigerian students during an interaction on Thursday. Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, provided details of the meeting with Nigerian students studying in India.

Tinubu highlighted the role of education in his life and how it paved the way for his presidency. He mentioned his early experiences, including working as a security guard and serving as a school tutor. His dedication to education led him to join Deloitte, a prominent accounting firm, where he received training. Subsequently, he had a successful career at Exxon Mobil before venturing into politics with a can-do attitude.

The President encouraged Nigerian students to aspire to reach the pinnacle of their respective careers through dedication, honesty, determination, and a change of mindset. He emphasized that good education had played a pivotal role in his own journey.

Tinubu reassured the students that Nigeria is ready to accommodate individuals from all parts of the country, emphasizing that regional origins should not be a barrier to success.

He urged Nigerians to harness the nation’s rich diversity as a powerful tool for national development and prosperity. Tinubu emphasized the need for effective management and leadership in Nigeria to unlock the nation’s full potential.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, highlighted President Tinubu’s foreign policy focus on the Diaspora, with a commitment to improving services for Nigerians at foreign missions. Tuggar addressed passport delays and stressed the importance of projecting a positive image of Nigeria.

Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, expressed confidence in Nigeria as a prime investment destination and praised the success of Nigerians worldwide.
