James Brown Voices Strong Criticism Over Arrest of Suspected Gay Wedding Attendees in Delta State

A recent development has sparked intense discussions both online and offline. Nigerian crossdresser James Brown has come forward to express his disapproval of the individuals who were arrested under suspicion of participating in a same-sex wedding ceremony. The incident unfolded in Delta State, where a group of young men was apprehended by authorities for their alleged involvement in the forbidden event.

James Brown, who rose to prominence following his own arrest for reportedly attending a gay event in Lagos back in 2018, conveyed his disapproval in a video shared on his Instagram account. He emphasized that those involved in the event should have adhered to the legal framework of the country and refrained from organizing a same-sex wedding.

The controversy emerged when a group of individuals suspected of being homosexuals were apprehended during the festivities of a same-sex wedding held at a hotel in Delta State. The subsequent procession of these individuals to the police headquarters in Asaba, Delta State, on Wednesday, August 29, not only garnered significant attention across various social media platforms but also elicited a range of responses from both ordinary citizens and prominent figures.

Fascinatingly, this occurrence also prompted remarks from another prominent individual, Bobrisky. The contentious online personality, celebrated for their gender-fluid identity and open embrace of their LGBTQ+ orientation, spoke candidly in criticizing those who attempted to hold a same-sex wedding in a nation where such an act is prohibited by law.
