Naira notes update: EFCC issues harsh admonition to Agency de Change administrators, others

The Monetary and Monetary Violations Commission, EFCC, has cautioned Agency de Change (BDC) administrators to be careful about cash hoarders who might be offloading cash illicitly reserved.

Day to day POST reviews that the National Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Lead representative, Godwin Emefiele, on Wednesday uncovered that the peak bank will, from December 15, 2022, issue overhauled N200, N500, and N1,000 notes.

Talking regarding this situation, the EFCC Executive, Abdulrasheed Bawa in an explanation complimented the move by the peak bank, saying it is “a very much considered and convenient reaction” to the difficulties of cash the board in the country.

As indicated by the EFCC chief, the Commission would pull out all the stops to capture and arraign any monetary administrations administrator who abuses surviving regulations and guidelines.
