Kingsley Kanunta Kanu, younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), alleged the involvement of Nigerian security agents in causing insecurity in the southeast.
Kanunta, who disclosed this while condemning the attacks in the southeast, said Nigerian security agents carried out most of the attack with the aim of incriminating IPOB.
According to him, security agencies in Imo state ignored an IPOB intelligence report which claimed that Fulani jihadist herdsmen were plotting to attack communities the state.
“IPOB warned that the Jihadist Herdsmen were about to attack our communities in IMO STATE few days ago, both the Chief security officer of the state and the police commissioner ignored IPOB intelligence unit,” said Kanunta in a post on Facebook.
“After Nigerian security agents attacked those communities police commissioner was quick to point fingers on IPOB.
“Nigerian security agents are responsible for the insecurities in the whole of Biafra land,” he added.
Meanwhile, a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for Abia State, Umeh Kalu had alleged that a buried improvised explosive device (IED) allegedly diffused in Imo State were planted by Nigerian soldiers and not by agents of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) as alleged by the military.
Kalu said last week that the Nigerian military planted the lifeless bomb along the Orlu-Owerri road and announced it to incriminate “innocent” members of the Indigenous People of Biafra and the ESN.
