Police parade Ondo naval officer’s killers

Three suspects alleged to have killed an officer of the Nigerian Navy in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Sub-Lt. Samuel Akingbohun, have been arrested by the police.

Parading the suspects before journalists in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Thursday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said the men were arrested while trying to flee the community after the incident.

Odunlami-Omisanya disclosed that two of the suspects were aged 20, while the third was 17.

The police spokesperson said an investigation revealed that a misunderstanding ensued between the naval officer and one of the suspects, which led to a fight.
