The aftermath of the Nigerian election and the necessity for the international community to obligate itself and accept calls for a referendum in Nigeria right now

The Repercussions of the Nigerian Election and the Urgent Need for the International Community to Obligately Support Calls for a Referendum in Nigeria Many people may have concluded from the historic occurrence of the events that Nigeria as a whole is merely an unworkable legacy of British colonialism that has escaped collapse since its inception. Thanks to the determined effort of the colonial mother (Britain) to safeguard her business for the continued sustenance of her economic development and advancement to the detriment of Nigeria’s entrapped Indigenous peoples.

Despite this, the anemic organism has never been able to respond positively to stimuli. Despite the country’s abundance of human and mineral resources, Nigeria has only gotten worse over time and has never made any meaningful contributions to its citizens’ human development.

The recent presidential election, which took place on February 25, 2023, has further demonstrated the utter hypocrisy of those who manipulate Nigeria from afar, namely; the West as a whole, the British, the Americans, and the Americans themselves, all trying desperately to protect their economic interests and geopolitical influence by any means necessary.

The shady selection they referred to as election; which was marred by unimaginable electoral malpractices, ballot snatching, political thuggery, and ethnic profiling—the practice of preventing members of a specific tribe from exercising their voting rights in another region due to their ethnic background—in the presumptively same country. This has further diminished the rhythm of “strength in diversity,” which the current British High Commissioner, Mrs. Catriona Liang, frequently chants as nothing more than a complete hoax intended to deceive the unfortunate Indigenous people in Nigeria.

Valid confirmations of abnormalities and connivance by the Autonomous public constituent commission(INEC), and the decision oligarchs in Nigeria to deny individuals of their order and introduce a Universally perceived drug aristocrat – – Bola Tinubu as president, didn’t dissuade Western nations from hastily sending salutary messages with some of them; Rishi Sunak, like the British Prime Minister, has already pledged support, quick partnership, and other things. It has also been reported that some African Union delegates have endorsed the election as free and fair.

With this degree of inside and outer scheme by people, foundations and states against individuals in Nigeria, target delaying the contraption for their monetary advantages, the main choice for getting away from this futile way of life of neo-provincial controls is a Unified Country managed mandate for Nigeria people.

This has been the argument of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Sadly, it is being referred to as a secessionist mantra, which has resulted in unprecedented persecution of both parties up to this point.

However, any abstract thought will come to the conclusion that Nigeria’s problem is its indefinite existence. A referendum on whether Nigerians want to remain as Nigerians or go their separate ways to develop in accordance with their distinct value systems and contribute to both regional and international evolution is the only way to resolve the incoherent differences among the population.

As a result, the general assembly of the United Nations ought to accept this genuine call to duty. Organize a referendum in Nigeria to at least begin the process of retribution for victims of centuries of imperialism, particularly the people of Biafra, who have endured unimaginable suffering as a result of what can be described as a global conspiracy to wipe her out.
