Tinubu promises that Nigeria will prevail over the dark forces.

Sen. Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserts that evil will not rule Nigeria and that the dark forces will be defeated.

In response to the Edo train station attack on Saturday, in which 31 passengers were taken hostage by suspected bandits, his Media Officer, Mr. Tunde Rahman, released a statement in which he made these remarks.

Tinubu said that the abduction of 31 passengers who were waiting to board the train from Edo to Warri in Delta at Igueben Station was another sad example of the country’s security problems.

Nigeria will prevail over the dark forces, the former governor of Lagos State emphasized.

He offered his sympathies to the victims who were still being held captive by the attackers and urged the federal government, the government of Edo, and local authorities to work quickly with security agencies to secure the release of all victims.

“I condemn the irrational attack and kidnapping of innocent train passengers in Edo on Saturday by terrorists. According to the information that is available, the security agencies are putting in a lot of effort to rescue the victims.

“I urge the Federal Government, the Edo Government, and other local authorities to work together more to quickly rescue all of the victims.

“This occurrence serves as a regrettable reminder that we have not entirely won the battle against insecurity and that there are still a few agents of darkness waiting in the wings.

Tinubu stated, “However, I want to assure Nigerians we will win this war, and evil will not prevail over our country because of our strong determination to exterminate the dark forces wherever they manifest.”

He explained that one of the reasons he was running for the presidency of the nation was to address all forms of insecurity and improve her security situation.

He went on to say that he had a specific strategy for putting an end to terrorism and violent crime by investing in more surveillance technology and Anti-Terrorism Battalion Forces.

He asserted that as a result, our streets, neighborhoods, and forests would become more conducive to the flourishing of socioeconomic activities.

Nigeria would triumph, he said, praising the security agencies’ rescue efforts that had resulted in the arrest of some terrorists and the rescue of some victims.

The Edo Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Mr. Chris Nehikhare, stated, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that six of the kidnapped victims had been rescued.

He made this comment during a briefing for the media in Benin City, noting that two additional suspects who were on the police’s wanted list had been detained while an investigation was underway to determine their guilt in the kidnapping. “In the last 24 hours, six people have been rescued, including a 65-year-old man, a nursing mother and her child, a six-year-old girl, and two siblings: a boy and a girl who are between the ages of two and five.

Our security forces have continued their bush comb to apprehend additional kidnap gang members who have fled.

The commissioner stated, “I want to reassure Edo people that the government is taking this matter seriously to ensure that Edo people are safe in the state.”
