In collaboration with both the Federal and State Governments, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, initiated the commencement of the distribution of procured food items and other relief materials. This initiative aims to mitigate the economic consequences following the removal of subsidies, particularly for the citizens of Imo.
During the event, Governor Uzodimma highlighted the significance of these measures in offering vital assistance to the populace during a period of adjustments in subsidy regulations.
The Governor expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his economic strategies during the nation’s policy transition.
He further revealed the establishment of a committee tasked with encompassing all sectors, institutions, and communities. This committee’s objective is to ensure that every household within the State benefits from the relief efforts, regardless of their political party affiliation.
