BAN ON VISA: We have Individuals like Femi Fani-Kayode on Our Rundown – – – English High Official says

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, Femi Fani-Kayode, has come under fire from the United Kingdom for controversial remarks he made during the election season.

Ben Llewellyn-Jones, the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, criticized the director of new media for the APC presidential campaign council in an interview with Nigeria Info FM on Sunday.

The Department of State Services (DSS) summoned Fani-Kayode for questioning last month after he claimed that PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar had a meeting with army generals prior to the elections.

“Yes, let’s be more specific: there were some people, such as Femi Fani-Kayode. What is he saying and why is he saying it? I can’t figure it out.

“From my point of view, it is wrong that he speaks on behalf of a party without that party distancing itself from him and telling him to stop doing that. That is incorrect, Llewellyn-Jones stated.

Llewellyn-Jones has reiterated that those who undermine democracy will face visa bans from the UK government.

He claims that the watchlist already includes approximately ten individuals.

We have a list, and we are going through it, but we do not publish the names on it. We are prohibited from doing so by law, despite what people may suggest.

He continued, “At the moment the list is between five and ten, and it is growing.”
