The Department of State Services (DSS) has transferred veteran actor, Chief Chiwetalu Agu, to the dungeon in Abuja.
Chiwetalu Agu was, on Thursday, arrested by Nigerian soldiers who assaulted him at Upper-Iweka in Onitsha for wearing an outfit made with the colors of Biafra flag.
The army, which later handed him to DSS, alleged that the actor was arrested for soliciting for support for the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a claim, eyewitness said is false.
“The DSS has transferred him to the detention center in Abuja,” said the secret police source who confirmed the report on Sunday to OAK METRO.
Meanwhile, many Nigerians and human rights activists condemned the arrest, calling it illegal and wicked.
