BREAKING: In Benue, a family of six people was killed by herders, and eight bodies were found.

After a fatal attack by armed men believed to be Fulani herdsmen in the Abagana community of Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, at least eight bodies have been found.

Our correspondent was informed by Paul Hemba, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Governor of Benue State, that the armed men invaded the community near the Abagana camp for internally displaced people late on Thursday.

Paul Hemba claims that security personnel and other villagers have been searching the community’s bushes for additional victims who may have been shot by the intruders.

He stated that the unfortunate attack resulted in the deaths of all six members of the family.

Hemba added that the attack was unprovoked because the villagers were already getting ready to go to bed when the Fulani bandits killed them.

The Security Adviser says that there may be more casualties because some of the people who were shot and killed may not survive their chest injuries.
