FBI To Release Documents On Tinubu’s Forfeiture Case In October

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is set to release approximately 2,500 documents related to President Bola Tinubu from its database. This move comes in response to a freedom of information request, and the FBI plans to start releasing the documents at a rate of 500 pages per month, beginning at the end of October 2023.

The decision to release these documents follows initial reluctance by the FBI to comply with the request, which was originally filed in 2022 by Aaron Greenspan, in collaboration with journalist David Hundeyin. This disclosure is expected to provide clarity on various aspects of President Tinubu’s history, including when he first entered the U.S., the name under which he entered, and his activities since then. It may also shed light on his forfeiture of $460,000 over drug-related charges in Chicago during the 1990s.
