‘I’m disappointed we couldn’t achieve more together’, Frank Lampard breaks silence after Everton sack

After being fired by Everton on Monday, Frank Lampard has spoken out on Instagram.

After Everton’s 2-0 defeat at West Ham on Monday, the Chelsea legend was fired. This was Everton’s 11th loss in their last 14 games across all competitions.

Lampard admitted on social media on Thursday night that he was “disappointed” that he was unable to accomplish more at Goodison Park.

He wrote, “Coming into Everton last year I knew we were in a tough moment, and I will always be proud of the incredible work and support from everyone involved to keep the team in the Premier League last season,” alongside a photo of him celebrating with Everton fans. As the club as a whole came together, thanks to everyone who contributed. I will never forget our unforgettable night together against Palace.

I would like to express my gratitude to all Evertonians for the warm welcome they extended to me, my staff, and my family. It is truly a unique club with an enormous heart and incredible history. I’m disappointed that we weren’t able to accomplish more together, and I wish all of the Everton FC players and staff the best for the future.
