The Branch of State Administrations, DSS, on Monday, said it revealed moves by certain legislators preparing understudy pioneers, ethic gatherings and relationship, among others, for a savage dissent.
DSS made the disclosure in an explanation by its representative, Peter Afunanya, adding that the target of the dissent was to trash the Central Government and security organizations over “financial issues”.DSS said those plotting the protests had been identified and were being monitored.
The DSS says that they have found “plans by some elements in parts of the country to stage violent protests in order to discredit the Federal Government and security agencies over various socio-economic matters.”
“Insight reports have shown that the plotters incorporate specific lawmakers who are frantically preparing clueless understudy pioneers, ethnic-based affiliations, youth, and displeased bunches for the arranged activity.
“In the mean time, the Help has recognized the ring heads of the plot as well as supported observing around them to prevent them from diving the country into turmoil.
“In light of this development, it is recommended that Heads of Tertiary Institutions and Vice-Chancellors of Universities discourage their students from engaging in activities that have the potential to disrupt public peace.
“Also, parents and guardians are urged to caution their children and wards, respectively, against the temptation to engage in unlawful behavior or conduct.
“While the DSS knows about the public authority’s endeavors and assurance to determine a portion of the difficulties standing up to the country, it cautions those covetous of undermining public safety to remember their means.
“This is all the more so it won’t hold back to come against people and gatherings behind the insidious plans legitimately.”
