Only mentally-challenged people will vote APC – Ayu

On Monday, Iyorchia Ayu, the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, urged Nigerians not to waste their votes by supporting the All Progressives Congress.

The head of the main opposition party claimed on Tuesday during the PDP presidential campaign rally in Benue State that only people with mental health issues will vote for the APC.

“All of you know that you have suffered in this country over the past eight years APC, only someone with a mental problem will vote for APC,” Ayu stated. Don’t throw your vote away.

Ayu said that reconciliation efforts were ongoing and that the PDP leadership was in talks with party members who were upset about the crisis within the party.

The party is united. Several of the members have issues. We are conversing with them. We want to ensure that they return and fully cooperate with us. Everything can be changed in a week. This has been going on for some time, and I want to reassure you that we will receive everyone back,” he stated.

“I am urging Gov. Ortom, my younger brother, to return and join us so that we can fight to save Nigeria. Gov. Ortom has nowhere to go; the PDP is his only home; whenever he arrives, we will be delighted to welcome him and all PDP governors.

Because you will regret allowing the APC to win this election, we want all of our candidates and governors to support us.
