President Muhammad Buhari has been admonished by the Spiritual Director of the Catholic Adoration Chaplaincy in Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, who claims that the current shortage of the naira will sabotage the upcoming elections if it is not dealt with immediately.
On Sunday, during the first ministration at the Adoration Ground in Umuchigbo Nike, Mbaka issued this warning.
The cleric expressed concern regarding the fact that the Federal Government began implementing the currency policy just prior to the general elections, a few months prior to the departure of the administration led by Buhari.
Mbaka insisted that the President and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, would suffer if they did not resolve the country’s ongoing naira crisis.

Despite the lauded creation of new jobs, the cleric expressed concern that more Nigerians had lost their jobs.
“The current government, I want to ask you to change or you people will cry because you cannot face what you are inviting.
