Video: Fashola discusses Tinubu’s alleged dual citizenship.

Governmental issues NIGERIA reports that as indicated by Fashola, the Nigerian constitution doesn’t make a political office wannabe disentitled when such individual is a double resident.

Remember that over the weekend, there were reports that said Bola Tinubu, the new president, had a passport from Guinea Conakry.

The new leader of Africa’s largest economy allegedly lied under oath to the nation’s electoral commission, which sparked outrage on the internet.

However, Fashola, a longtime ally of Tinubu, said the following during an interview with Channels TV on Sunday night: He carries a Nigerian passport, I am aware; I’m not aware of dual citizenship.

I am aware that he resided abroad when he went into exile, but I am unsure whether I was granted American citizenship. What does that have to do with the election’s outcome?

He continued: b@?”The if I’m not mistaken. I believe that Nigeria’s constitution permits you to have a double citizenship.

“I will verify. However, due to the fact that the constitution permits dual citizenship, I doubt that the Nigerian constitution renders you ineligible. ”[/b]
