World Cup: Germany score late to secure 1-1 draw with Spain

The 2022 World Cup’s second matchday came to a close with Germany earning their first victory of the tournament in their Group E matchup at the Al Bayt stadium.
Dani Olmo forced Manuel Neuer into a fantastic save to give Spain a blistering start. Some speedy interaction on the edge of the area finished with Olmo cutting inside and shooting a strong shot which the German guardian tipped onto the crossbar.
When Joshua Kimmich’s free kick was met by Antonio Rüdiger with an unmarked header, the team led by Hansi Flick thought they had taken the lead as the halftime whistle approached.VAR, on the other hand, saved the goal because the Real Madrid defender had gone offside.
This match was almost certainly going to be decided by a mistake or a brilliant moment.Playing from the back, Spain got possession on the edge of their penalty area, but Kimmich’s shot was stopped by Unai Simón.
However, Luis Enrique’s team took the lead shortly thereafter.Morata, who came on as a substitute in the second half, snuck in ahead of his Niklas Süle to skillfully pass Jordi Alba’s low cross past Neuer.
Germany finally scored through second-half substitute Füllkrug in the tenth minute of the game. Before Füllkrug snatched the ball from his teammate and fired a powerful shot past Simón, Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala worked together.
Spain guarantee the best position in Gathering E while, regardless of getting on the board, Germany stay lower part of the gathering with one point.Japan will be the next opponent for the 2010 World Cup champions by 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.Germany will face Costa Rica simultaneously in the meantime.
