Anambra: Soludo reads riot act, terminates road contract over poor job

ANAMBRA State lead representative, Teacher Chukwuma Soludo has ended a street contract in Aguata nearby government region of the state over supposed unfortunate work by the worker for hire.

Soludo discovered that the company lacked the capacity to complete the project during an unexpected visit to the construction site.

Soludo, clearly enraged, ordered the contractor to immediately remove his equipment from the location and said: I just called the Commissioner for Works and informed him that I have terminated this contract.

“Look at what you’re doing. You are required to return the money you were paid now that the contract has been terminated by me.

“We gave you this contract on the assumption that you are an indigenous business, but look at what you are doing,” reads the agreement. What we observe is this. Nobody can pass because you blocked the entire highway. How do I get there now that I’m going to my hometown?

You blocked the road for months, even allowing vehicles to pass through.

“The contract you were given stated that this job should have been completed in October.

“All of the other businesses that received contracts similar to yours have delivered.”

The governor informed him that there are other roads with more challenging terrain, and the contractors had delivered, despite the contractor’s explanations that the road had peculiarities.

He continued: There is nothing you can tell me about the contract that I have ended. Move out of this location and get rid of all of your equipment because another contractor is coming to take over the job.

“Because we are not paying you a dime, if you continue, it is at your own risk. We are requesting a refund instead.
