Kanu’s family tells the public to ignore the poison rumor.

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s family has urged the general public to disregard the voice note that has been circulating on social media and claims that the IPOB Leader has been poisoned.

According to our correspondent, Prince Emmanuel, Kanu’s younger brother, met with the IPOB leader on Thursday at the Abuja headquarters of the Department of State Services, DSS, where he is detained.

He claimed that his brother did not inform him that he had been poisoned prior to their last meeting on Thursday, but that he had promised to find out the truth on Monday, January 30, when he stated that he hoped to visit him once more.

Kanu’s brother warned against spreading false information and pondered the origins of the alleged poisoning story.

Prince Emmanuel said he hoped to see and hear from his brother again on Monday and urged Kanu’s followers, Biafrans, and the general public to keep their cool and not break the law.

The discussion that took place with Kanu on Thursday had resulted in a post by his brother on his Facebook page.

The post said, I met Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the Department of State Services in Abuja with Evangelist and Barr Nnaemeka Ejiofor.

“As usual, we concentrated more on recorded victories and the way forward. He reaffirmed that the struggle for liberation remains a collective struggle and thanked those who have not abandoned the struggle.

He stated that Nigeria will never be tolerated in IPOB for having repeatedly disobeyed the orders of her own court. “This movement is devine.To me, IPOB is a huge achievement for our people and for men and women of good conscience. We have come that humanity may be set free.” Those who attack this noble structure were not present when it was constructed and will never be able to take it down.

In the meantime, a voice note that is currently trending on social media suggested that Kanu had been poisoned while he was in custody and called on “Biafrans” to go on the run in protest.
