No sane Nigerian should vote APC – Akwa Ibom cleric cautions members

Rev. Richard Peters, a senior African Church priest who is dissatisfied with the current fuel crisis and the scarcity of new Naira banknotes, has advised his members not to vote for the All Progressives Congress, or APC.

He asserted that the party contributed to the people’s current financial difficulties.

He emphasized that anyone who votes for the APC in the upcoming elections is bad for Nigeria.

During yesterday’s Quinquagesima mass at his church in Uyo, the cleric instructed them to vote for any other party in the presidential and National Assembly elections, but not the APC.

He stated that people are experiencing unprecedented hardship as a result of fuel and Naira scarcity; As a result, voters ought to make use of their PVCs to alter the current situation.

He says, “They promised us that they were going to change the situation, but instead of changing, they are making the situation extremely difficult for the people.”

“You cannot access the money that is in your account; Many ATMs do not accept cash, and even POS centers prohibit withdrawals despite high fees. They are bringing us back to the days of crime when people would simply steal food from other people’s homes.

“The APC should simply return the country to how it met it so that the new government can continue from there. They met the country when fuel cost N85 per liter, a bag of rice cost seven to ten thousand naira, and our naira had value.

“You people should rise to the occasion because Nigerians are looking for a way out of the quagmire and they are bringing another person who will worsen our situation.”
