Troops of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, leading ‘Exercise Golden Dawn’ in the South East, have killed four shooters of the prohibited Indigenous Peoples of Biafra/Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) at Nnobi in Anambra State, as indicated by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.- Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu.
Nwachukwu said, in Abuja, that the shooters were overwhelmed during an experience with troops at Nnobi Junction, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state on Friday.
He said the aggressors had before assaulted faculty of safety organizations conveyed at Ekwulobia Round About in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He added that troops quickly prepared to the scene and hence left on quest for the lawbreakers along Nnewi – Nnobi street.
As indicated by him, troops connected with the escaping shooters and drew in them in a fire battle, killing four of the lawbreakers.
“The heroic soldiers likewise recuperated two AK-47 rifles, one GALIL Ace 5.56 x 45 Iwi firearm, one Avofeng handheld radio and one dark Highlander jeep.
