The Atiku/Okowa Official Mission Association has reproved President Muhammadu Buhari not to burn through valuable time lobbying for the official applicant of the All Moderates Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on the grounds that Nigerians have since dismissed him.
Kola Ologbondiyan, the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign’s spokesperson, made the following statement yesterday in Abuja: “Nigerians have registered their rejection of Tinubu because they have demonstrated that they would never trust or elect a tinted individual accused of treasury-looting and many other reprehensible acts.” Tinubu is running for president.
He said: ” Is it not absurd and a huge embarrassment to Nigerians that a person who is beset by allegations of corruption, lying, identity theft, name and ancestry inconsistencies, and an alleged drug offense for which he forfeited a staggering $460,000 to the United States of America could run for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?
“It is imperative to state that Nigerians will never entrust the destiny of our nation to any individual whose persona is globally tainted with issues of criminal allegations and who is unable to explain the source of his wealth in response to allegations that it is the result of corruption.
“Of course, Nigerians will not trust or elect a person who is so depraved that he can present the photograph of another person, former Governor of Cross Rivers State Donald Duke, as his to gain followers in a documentary that was used as part of his campaign materials to canvass for votes. Of course, Nigerians will not trust or elect a person who is so depraved.
“Tinubu’s attempt to shamelessly claim credit for the accomplishments of his predecessors and successors in office demonstrates such a proclivity to falsehood, as he cannot point to any resounding legacy project he articulated and executed during his turbulent years as governor of Lagos State.
“It is odd that anyone would expect Nigerians to elect a failed state governor whose only accomplishment is ensconcement of governance through brawl, personal enrichment, and puffery.
“In any case, Nigerians have since established their preference for the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over the deflated Tinubu as the next President of our great country.”
Ologbondiyan based his confidence on the fact that, according to him, his principal, Atiku Abubakar, has demonstrated over time that he is a leader who possesses the necessary integrity, solid reputation, and capacity, competence, presence of mind, political will, and stamina to lead our nation at this crucial time.
He stated, “In their yearning for the return of the good days, Nigerians want Atiku on the saddle; during Atiku Abubakar’s tenure as Vice President and Chairman of the Economic Council, our nation experienced unprecedented economic expansion to become one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and its citizens were secure, prosperous, and content.
