15th February 2023: Gbajabiamila identifies those responsible for fuel and naira shortages Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila Agency Report The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, has attributed the current shortages of fuel and naira to the activities of saboteurs.
This was said on Tuesday in Lagos at the beginning of the second phase of the transportation initiative known as “Gbaja ride.”
The goal of the initiative was to give his Surulere constituents more power.
According to the Nigerian News Agency, 35 low-cost buses that would operate on a variety of routes in Surulere and the surrounding area were launched.
Gbajabiamila said that some people carefully planned the incessant shortage of fuel and naira notes to slow down the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd),’s successes.
He disclosed that the first edition of the “Gbaja ride” began in June 2018 with 30 brand-new buses, 160 motorcycles, and 25 tricycles.
He stated that the second phase was structured better to provide Surulere residents with superior bus services at very low fares.
Gbajabiamila stated that members of Lagos State Park and Garages Administrators would collaborate on the operation of the new 35 buses.
However, he stated that residents, teachers, and students over the age of 70 would receive complimentary rides on the buses.
He explained that the initiative was one of his many efforts to improve the constituency’s standard of living.
Additionally, he stated that the House of Representatives was putting in a lot of effort to alleviate citizens’ current hardships as soon as possible.

“Under my leadership, the lower legislative chamber has been on the people’s side, working tirelessly to rescue them from these difficulties.
“I am pleased that the judiciary has also confirmed our position on the implementation of the naira redesign policy,” she said.
The speaker also said that some people had made a problem with the policy to stop Bola Tinubu, the candidate for president from the All Progressives Congress, from winning.
He stated, “Nobody can convince me that it is not a plot to prevent Asiwaju from becoming this country’s president.”
“However, the fact that he intervened in the plot these individuals sat together to hatch makes me glad that our God is a wonderful being.
“I doff my hat for Nigerians, having followed the campaign team to the East, North, and everywhere with Asiwaju.”
Mr. Sulaiman Yusuf, Chairman of the Surulere Local Government, praised Gbajabiamila earlier for the initiative.
He said that the plan was another example of how the Speaker cared about the well-being of his constituents.
This further demonstrates the speaker’s concern. We are so proud of him because he has done so much for the Surulere people.
