The indiscriminate bombings that are being carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces in Biafran communities using the Super Tucano military jets acquired from the United States of America are something that we, the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the command and leadership of our liberator Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU, wish to bring to the attention of the international community and particularly the government of the United States of America.
Bombing innocent civilian communities in Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers States, Igweocha, and other locations in Biafraland has resulted in numerous civilian casualties and the destruction of our people’s property and means of subsistence.
It is known that the United States Department of State restricted the use of Super Tucano Jets in Northern Nigeria in order to combat Boko Haram, which is destroying lives there.
However, by using military jets to bomb rural areas and villages in the Southeast, the Nigerian government is knowingly and purposefully violating the terms of the agreement. Nigeria was asked by the US government to limit the Super Tucano Jets’ use to the northern region of Nigeria, where terrorist organizations are very active. Nigeria, which is known for breaking agreements and acting outside of legal norms, has used bombers to target Biafran communities and villages in the Eastern Region, revealing their true intention to purchase military jets in flagrant disregard of the terms of the sale agreement. The conspiracy of all Western governments against the people of Biafra is demonstrated by the one-sided war that is being waged by the Nigerian government against the people of Biafra with the assistance of military equipment provided to them by the US government. One might ask, “What is our crime?” The Biafran people committed a crime by daring to demand our freedom and self-determination as a people, a referendum, and Mazi Nnamdi KANU’s unconditional release from unlawful confinement in accordance with the Nigeria Court of Appeal’s order and ruling.
It is clear that the US Government sold and bought the Super Tucano Jets with the intention of using them to bomb Biafran territory and drive the Biafran people from their ancestral homeland, not to fight terrorists in Northern Nigeria. Because the Fulani-led Nigerian government has no interest in fighting their terrorist brothers, these very same Super Tucano Millitary Jets have not been used against insurgents anywhere in Northern Nigeria. “Any attack on the North is an attack on Boko Haram and ISWAP,” they say.
We demand that the Super Tucano Jets that were sold to Nigeria be recalled by the US government because they broke the terms of the sales agreement. We will have no choice but to believe that the US Government is fully aware of and supports the use of their military equipment to bomb and kill the civilian population of Biafra if the US Government does not question the use of the Super Tucano Jets on Biafra soil.
Our suspicions regarding the US government’s involvement in the 1967-1970 first Biafra Genocide and the ongoing second Genocide against the Biafran people are strengthened by the fact that these fighter jets continue to be used against the civilian population of Biafra and on Biafran territory.
The Nigerian government is committing a crime against humanity with the help of Super Tucano military fighter jets that the United States of America provided to them. The world should be aware of this.
Another development is that the IPOB strongly denounces the recent attack on an INEC office and a police station in the Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State by unknown gunmen (UGM). Igbo culture is at odds with this level of violence and attacks that are not native to Igboland. In order to justify the use of Super Tucano Millitary Jets in Biafra territory against the civil population, we maintain that the majority of these attacks are politically motivated and sponsored by the Nigerian Government and their agent provocateur Unitary One Nigeria politicians.
We are advising all of the agents provocateurs who are being employed by the Nigerian government to perpetrate these heinous crimes against humanity to stop supporting Biafran foes. The Biafra Freedom Movement, IPOB, ESN, or Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are not represented by the attackers or their sponsors.
Freedom and Self-Determination (IPOB) is a nonviolent movement. We have kept our neutrality when it comes to the upcoming Nigeria selection, which they are calling the 2023 presidential elections.
The perpetrators are either resentful individuals on a mission of vengeance against the Nigerian state or double agents of the Nigerian government who are employed to extort IPOB and create a false justification for the willful bombing and destruction of Biafran lives and property. This explains why, without conducting any investigations, the Nigerian Army and Police rush to the media and erroneously assert that the attackers are IPOB members as soon as these attacks occur. A Nigeria Police Spokesperson in Anambra State who made such false claims against IPOB was quoted in a recent UK publication of daily mail online news. This suggests that the publishing house behind the UK Daily Mail has joined other British journalists in attempting to sabotage IPOB. Before publishing propaganda against IPOB and the Biafran people by the Nigerian government with the sole intention of demonizing IPOB in front of the international community, it is of the utmost importance that journalists properly investigate their information and stories.
Propaganda and extortion from the media will not distract or intimidate IPOB.
Every decent person is aware that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is the victim of a grand plan to stop their struggle for self-determination, while the Nigerian government, the British government, and other Western nations are the aggressors. While erroneously accusing IPOB of their crimes against humanity in Biafraland, the same Nigerian government is responsible for the killings, kidnappings, arson, and massacres.
However, one thing is certain: by the grace of Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama, Mazi Nnamdi KANU will be released in the end, and Biafra will be restored.
