Shettima stated, “Nigeria currently faces a housing deficit of 28 million units, and to meet our housing requirements, we require N21 trillion. The Governor’s proactive step in this regard is highly commendable and sets a positive example for other state governments.”

Governor Aliyu provided further details about the housing estate, stating that it would primarily cater to civil servants and would be sold to them upon completion, with an owner-occupier arrangement.
