BREAKING: War In Aso Rock, Aisha Buhari’s Security Aides Arrested

SAHARANEWS – There is an established cold war and ongoing battle in Aso Villa between the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant and Private Secretary, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf, and some certain forces who are yet to be unveiled.



Trouble started after Yusuf who recently returned from a trip to Lagos State entered into the Aso Villa residence against the First Lady’s order which mandated him to 2-week self-isolation.

With 6,611 confirmed cases of coronavirus, Lagos State is currently the hot spot for the deadly virus in Nigeria.



In what seems to indicate that Yusuf who is reportedly one of the most influential people around President Buhari—has the upper hand, he had blatantly refused and and pushed his way into the Villa.

Worried that Yusuf’s presence could expose everyone in the Villa to danger, the first family, however, intervened in the matter on Thursday, June 11.



Things quickly spiralled out of control after the security attached to Mrs. Buhari, moved in and had Yusuf removed from the Presidential Villa so as take the mandatory self-isolation.

Angered by his act, SaharaNews learnt that Yusuf had the First Lady’s ADC, Usman Shugaba, Escort Commander and other policemen attached to the first family arrested and detained.



Confirming the report on Friday night, Mrs Buhari took to Twitter to call on the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to release the security men.

She tweeted; “That Covid-19 is real and still very much around in our nation is not in doubt. Consequently, I call on all relevant Government Agencies to enforce the Quarantine Act signed by Mr President and ensure no one is found violating this law and the NCDC guidelines.”

“Especially on interstate travel without the necessary exemptions for movement of essentials. Anyone who does that should at the very least be made to undergo 14 days mandatory isolation no matter who the person is, no one should be above the law and the Police command”

“Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody.”

SaharaNews recall that late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, tested positive for the coronavirus in March after an official visit to Germany.



Kyari died of the disease (COVID-19) in Lagos on Friday, April 17. He was buried at the Gudu Cemetry in Abuja on Saturday, April 19, 2020.
